Occupied/Unoccupied Space Mini-Sculptures
I was given the task to Mini-Sculptures from the cardboard provided.
As I'm not a crafty person , infact I hate crafts, this was truly a challenge to do as I found myself overthinking it. I didn't even know where to start!
In the end, I just decided to do what came to me naturally and use my previous art as inspiration.
I started out using a craft knife for those smaller details but I also realised that using scissors helps speed up the process for larger cuts. Here I'm using triangles to create something abstract as a starting point to get used to the idea of paper Slot sculpting.
The process was fairly easy and understandable.
The next piece, was inspired by our Hand drawing/sculpting lessons and decided to have a go at a mini hand.
I couldn't think of what I could do, but most of my art is based around drawing people. So ofcourse I had to have a go at a human silhouette. I used the basic shape from my past drawing.

Overall, this challenge was not for me and I don't think I would like to do it again as it was pretty stressful...
However, It was a good way to help me get more creative and to just do it. It doesn't hurt to try new things.
